Little toddler Stoney Emshwiller used to
sit on his Father’s lap and watch the old
man paint for hours on end.
In those days
his dad, Ed “Emsh,” supported the family
as a celebrated
illustrator and cover artist
for pulp magazines like Amazing Stories
and Fantasy
& Science Fiction.
As soon as Stoney figured out they
didn’t fit properly in his boyish nostrils,
he set his crayons to paper and began
to emulate dear old dad. He hasn’t
stopped since—creating paintings
and
illustrations for magazines, movies,
television, art shows, and private
collectors.
And, just like when he was a boy, Stoney still sticks his
tongue out while he works.
